Your work, treated with care
Privacy policy.
When you tell us about your book, you are placing trust in us. This page explains what information we collect, why we use it and the choices you have.
Last updated 9 October 2026Who we are
Glendalough Press is an Irish-based publishing services business. We are responsible for the personal information you send to us through this website or by email. For privacy questions, requests or postal correspondence details, contact submit@glendaloughpress.com.
What we collect
We collect the information you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number, project status, budget range, message and, if you use the hero enquiry form, an optional manuscript file. If you ask to join our newsletter, we receive the email address, phone number and consent choice you submit through the newsletter form.
Our website host may record technical information needed to serve and protect the site, such as IP address, browser details and request time. We do not ask you to include sensitive personal information in a manuscript enquiry unless it is necessary to discuss your project.
How we use your information
- Enquiries and manuscript reviews: to respond, assess what support may suit your project and prepare a proposal. This is generally necessary to take steps at your request before a contract.
- Client work: to deliver an agreed service, communicate about it and keep necessary business records. This is generally needed to perform our contract or meet legal obligations.
- Newsletter requests: to send occasional writing and publishing notes when you ask to receive them. You can withdraw that request at any time by emailing us.
- Site operation and security: to keep the website working and protect it against misuse, based on our legitimate interests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the content of your manuscript for marketing without your permission.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages and manuscripts only while needed to review your project, follow up with you and deal with any related questions. If you become a client, we keep project and transaction records for the duration of the work and for any further period required by tax, accounting or legal obligations. Newsletter contact details are kept until you ask us to stop, subject to any record we need to keep of that request.
FormSubmit says it retains form submissions for 30 days; our own email copy may remain longer under the criteria above. You can ask us to delete an enquiry or manuscript when it is no longer needed.
Your rights and choices
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal data, object to certain uses, or request a portable copy. You can withdraw consent to newsletter emails at any time. Write to submit@glendaloughpress.com and tell us what you need. We may ask for enough information to confirm your identity before acting.
You may also complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission. We may update this notice when the way this site works changes; the date above shows the current version.
