A clear way forward
Refund & cancellation policy.
Publishing work is personal and often delivered in stages. Here is how we handle a change of plans, concerns about completed work and any refund that is due.
Last updated 8 October 2026Before work begins
There is no checkout or payment on this website. Editing, design and publishing services begin only after we agree the scope, price, stages and payment schedule with you in writing. Your proposal or service agreement should identify any deposit, third-party production costs and milestones. This page supplements that agreement and does not limit rights you have under Irish consumer law.
An initial enquiry or free consultation does not create a paid contract.
Your cooling-off period
If you are a consumer and agree a service contract with us online, by email or by phone, you will generally have 14 days from the date the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Tell us clearly by email before the period ends. You may use the simple form below, but you do not have to.
If you expressly ask us to start work during the cooling-off period and then cancel, you may need to pay a proportionate amount for work already supplied. If a service has been fully performed during that period with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that the cancellation right will be lost, the cooling-off right may end. We will explain this before starting early work where it applies.
Where a refund is due under the cooling-off rules, we will make it without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your cancellation notice, using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise.
If you cancel after the cooling-off period
Contact us as soon as you can. We will pause unstarted work where reasonably possible, review the agreed scope and provide an itemised account of work completed and any third-party costs already committed with your approval. Any balance due back to you will be refunded. A change of mind after work has been delivered does not automatically entitle you to a full refund, but we will always assess the circumstances fairly and in line with your agreement and the law.
If the service is not as agreed
Please tell us what is wrong and give us a chance to review it. Irish consumer law may entitle you to a remedy, including correction, a price reduction or cancellation and refund, depending on the issue. Nothing in this policy removes those statutory rights. We will not charge you to remedy work where the law requires us to put it right.
Books bought through an external retailer, including Amazon, are purchased from that retailer rather than through this site. Please contact the retailer about an order, delivery or return; contact us if your concern is about a service we provided directly.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Email submit@glendaloughpress.com with your name, project or book title, the date you agreed the service and a brief explanation of your request. We will acknowledge it and explain the next step. Please do not email card or bank details.
